CSRUgacof employs a dedicated permanent staff and several hundred casual day-workers, about half of them being women. Community conscious, Ugacof has initiated schemes dedicated to helping its workers and staff. An AIDS / HIV scheme is in place to treat affected workers anonymously enabling them to continue having an active working life, under free medical supervision. A clinic, Ugaclinic, has been constructed accessible to the staff, to ensure that workers can have access to good and affordable medical services. Environmental initiatives such as drainage clearing and litter collection around Bweyogerere community have been implemented though our sanitation week. A bus is provided to the permanent staff that deserves some areas of the town, in order to reduce transport costs. |
